EXTERIOR PAINTING · NORTHWEST ARKANSAS

Exterior painting in Springdale, built to stand up to Arkansas weather

Siding, trim and doors, washed, scraped, caulked and primed before they are painted. A family-owned crew with a one-year craftsmanship warranty on every project.

Chapter 01

Siding, trim and doors, read before they are painted

Our exterior painting covers siding, trim and doors, to make your home beautiful and to protect it from harsh weather. Before a single coat goes on, our experts examine the surface for damage or problems. We would rather find them on day one than have you find them next spring.

A house tells you what it needs if you know where to look. Paint that chalks off on your hand. Peeling low on a wall where water sits. Trim boards that have gone soft. Painting over a soft board only hides it for a season, so those get repaired or replaced first, and we talk it through with you at the estimate.

Doors and trim take the most abuse and show it first, so they get the same attention as the big wall of siding.

Wash, scrape, caulk, prime

Thorough surface preparation means removing old paint, dirt and mildew. That starts with pressure washing, and it ends with a clean, dry surface that new paint can actually hold to. Suzanne Kennedy even named the pressure washing crew in her review of her cedar siding and decks.

Scraping takes loose paint back to something sound. Caulk goes into the joints and gaps that let water in behind the siding. Bare wood and repaired spots get primed so the topcoat dries evenly and does not soak in patchy.

It is the least glamorous part of the job and the part that decides how long the paint lasts. In her words, Suzanne wrote that we "did an absolutely beautiful job painting my cedar siding and decks."

Chapter 03

Paint for Arkansas weather

We use weather-resistant paint, because a Northwest Arkansas exterior takes UV rays, rain, sleet and snow all in one year. Protection against the elements is half the reason to repaint. Curb appeal is the other half.

Weather also decides the schedule. Paint needs dry surfaces to cure, so rainy days move. Suzanne Kennedy's project ran straight through rain delays in May and June, and she still wrote that it was "a pleasure doing business with them every step of the way."

Our paints are low in VOCs whenever possible.

Color on a two-storey, and the HOA

Choosing an exterior color is harder than choosing for a bedroom, because the color has to sit next to your roof, your stone or brick, and the neighbors. Color selection help is part of the estimate, and our estimators use their experience to help you design the smartest roadmap for the project.

We have painted Hardie board siding a deep navy for a Northwest Arkansas homeowner, and sage green with white porch columns on a two-storey Victorian. If you live under an HOA, check its color rules before you fall for a swatch, and we will work through the options with you.

When the job is done we do a final walk-through with you, and every project comes with our one-year craftsmanship warranty. Call the office at (479) 283-3138 and we will schedule your free estimate in Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville, Fayetteville or Bella Vista.
